Atlantic Sintered, Inc. has an opening for the position of Process Development Engineer (Ref# SA723PDE). 

Work Location: 10 Cushing Dr., Wrentham, MA 02093. 

Job Duties: Responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for powder metal components to ensure production of quality parts during mass production, delivered on time and within quoted manufacturing margins. Participate in APQP and ECO meetings to understand manufacturing processes, timelines, internal and external requirements, and evaluate risk for new or revised products. Support APQP initiatives for new product introductions by assessing manufacturing readiness, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards. Serve as Product Manager for development of new products and follow parts through sample verification runs to ensure conformance to customer and internal requirements. Perform Statistical Process Control (SPC), capability studies, size change studies, and measurement system analyses. Develop and maintain internal documentation including timing charts, process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, Control Plans, work instructions, and related documentation. Document process parameters and rates within margin analysis tools and ERP systems. Specify, procure, and implement necessary gages, equipment, and packaging; develop instructions and train production personnel. Review first-run process capability results and update documentation as required. Develop and submit customer documentation including PPAP, GR&R, IMDS, and related materials. Lead Production Readiness meetings to release jobs to manufacturing. Handle assigned nonconformities and corrective actions arising from internal audits, customer issues, and MRR meetings. Incorporate ECOs for assigned products and support continuous improvement and scrap reduction initiatives. Coordinate process development activities with outside vendors and ensure compliance with customer requirements. 

Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related engineering field. Plus 5 years of progressive experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Quality Engineer, or related experience within a manufacturing environment. Position requires experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and either ISO 9001 or IATF 16949. 40hrs/week. 

Salary: $ 135,325 / year
